It's advisable that you read through the Guidelines. Thank you so much for your faithfulness and continued prayers.

After months of COVID-19 lock-down, here are the OLPH Re-opening guidelines that will be inforce to allow us to gather in person as a faith community.  Please read the guidelines because they contain valuable information that will allow you to make reservations and secure the tickets for the Mass you and your family would like to attend.  A ticket is required for each person to attend Mass.  Click the link below for the guidelines.

RE - Parents of First Communicants - May 24, 2020

All of us are anxious about the date for Confirmation/First Communion.  We are still waiting for a directive from the Bishop as to when Catholic Churches may re-open for parishioners to celebrate Mass on Sundays (or Saturday evening).  Know that our Bishop is working closely with Governor Ige and Mayor Caldwell.  In the meantime, please actively take your role as the primary catechist of your children through the following activities:
• Watch the live-streamed Mass from our parish on Sundays at 9:00 o’clock in the morning.  If for some reason you are not able to join the live-streamed Mass, you may access it later in the day or the following because the Mass is recorded.  How do you access it?
• You would need a Face Book account.  If you do not have one yet, please open an account.  It is easy to do.  Google Face Book and create an account.  You would need a user name and password. • Log in to your Face Book account at about 8:45 am
• Set up your dining table or living room for Mass. Put a crucifix/cross (if you have one), a Bible, or candle on the table.  You would be preparing an altar.
• Participate at Mass through responses (example -- Priest: the Lord be with you; your response: and with your spiit), prayer, and singing. Please make sure your children respond and participate.
• If you are home on weekdays, please watch also with your children the daily Mass at 8:00 am.  We begin by praying the rosary at 8:00 am; then the Mass follows.
• Pray with your children the “Act of Contrition” every night. They will need to go to Confession prior to First Communion Mass. Do an examination of conscience before praying the Act of Contrition.  Below are two resources for examination of conscience with children.

• Go to <catholicmom.com> and click on Gospel activities.  This website will give you an opportunity to talk to your children about the Sunday readings. If you have a printer, print the activities which will help them remember the readings.
