Master Plan Update - March 8, 2020

Over the past few weeks, the Design Team has worked on clarifying the conditions placed on us by DPP comments in the approval letter of our modification to the Conditional Use Permit.  Once all clarifications were received to our satisfaction, they embarked on the update of our project cost estimates.  The good news is that our modifications have resulted in a significant reduction to our prior cost estimates.  The bad news is that to achieve those reductions some elements of the original design had to be scaled back.  The largest share of the cost reductions was in site development as a result of our relocation of the church.
Our next step will be to seek potential contractors interested in partnering with us in a process called Design Assist.  In this process we will prequalify contractors who can not only adequately perform the work, but also add value to the project by reducing cost further through different construction techniques and/or materials.  We’ve come a long way to get to this point.  More will be required in the coming months as we proceed with the execution of phase I of our Master Plan.
