Master Plan Update - March 10, 2019

Another unfortunate delay and unplanned expense in executing our plans for the new church is dealing with the conditions set forth in our Existing Use Permit in 1990.  As of this writing we still haven’t received DPP’s response to our extension request for adding parking stalls after school lets out for the summer and the requirement for landscape screening until post-construction.  In addition, we’ve been informed of a new requirement put in place by the City in the past year to conduct an infiltration/percolation test to address storm water runoff.  The infiltration test will be performed by Geolabs, a geotechnical engineering firm, involving the drilling of 5 holes each 5’ deep strategically located on our campus.  Water will be placed in each of the borings and the amount of time that it takes to percolate into the ground will be measured.
The Committee & Design Team will be meeting the first week of March to kick-off discussions with the Acoustical Engineer and Landscape Architect and introductory discussions regarding Liturgical Furnishings.   In early April another round of meetings to discuss lighting, finishes and review liturgical furnishings concepts is planned.  Barring any other significant delays we would expect to complete Design Development during the month of May.
Concurrently, the Committee will be working on developing a projected cash flow analysis as we seek funding for construction and post-construction.
