Master Plan Update - April 16, 2017
While we await the fee proposals for the architectural design & engineering services along with other project costs due later this month we have pursued fee proposals for the topographical, hazardous materials, and geotechnical surveys required prior to any construction work.  We have reviewed the proposals from 3 different geotechnical engineering firms with one firm proving to be unresponsive.  Of the 2 remaining proposals Geolabs, Inc. presented the best option and was also slightly below our budget estimate.  We are in the process of finalizing the contract with Geolabs and expect to begin work within the next few weeks.  The work will involve a drilling rig taking 5 borings at 20 feet and 5 borings at 10 feet followed by laboratory analysis of each sample and a report detailing the soil conditions and suitability for construction.  We will communicate the start of work once a start date has been finalized.
Negotiations continue with those service providers who will perform the hazardous materials and topographical surveys.  We expect to finalize contracts for each of these surveys in the coming weeks.  The following table summarizes
the activity with our capital campaign and building fund for the month ended 2/28/17:
