Master Plan Update - February 19, 2017
Since the selection of Rider Levett Bucknall as Project Manager to assist the Parish in executing Phase I of the Master Plan the Parish Planning & Building Committee with RLB’s assistance has developed an updated preliminary estimate of total development expenses and issued a Request For Proposal to Saavedra Gelhausen to enter into the design phase.  The proposal is expected to be comprehensive and detailed covering such items as civil/mechanical/electrical/structural engineering, plumbing/fire suppression systems, ADA requirements, liturgical furnishings/other fixtures & equipment, landscaping, among others.   It is our expectation that the architect’s response will be received by early March.  Final negotiations and approval of the contract will allow us to proceed with the design work beginning in April.  Although it may not appear that things are happening there will be much going on behind the scenes as we proceed to gain approval for an update to the conditional use permit that governs the Parish property.
Requests for proposal for topographical, geotechnical, and environmental/hazmat surveys have also been issued and have yet to be received and reviewed.  There will be much for the committee and the Parish Office to do over the coming months.  As we reach significant milestones we will continue to update you on our progress.
