On this Catechetical Sunday, we thank God for the gift of our brothers and sisters who said “YES” to the ministry of Catechesis and Evangelization and to passing on the gift of faith to our children, youth and adults in our parish.  We acknowledge their faith, dedication and commitment to their vocation.  Please continue to pray for them and their families.
Lord God, source of all wisdom and knowledge, you sent your Son, Jesus Christ, to live among us and to proclaim his message of faith, hope and love to all nations.  In your goodness, bless our brothers and sisters who have offered themselves as catechists for your Church. Strengthen them with your gifts that they may teach by word and by example the truth that comes from you.  We ask this through Christ, our Lord. Amen.  (
Ash Wdnesday 2014
MARCH 5, 2014
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and occurs forty-six days before Easter.  It gets its name from the practice of
placing ashes on the foreheads of the faithful as a sign of repentance.

“Remember, you are dust and to dust you shall return.” ~Genesis 3:19~

We pray that our hearts be stirred to turn away from sin as we prepare to welcome the God who is slow to anger, rich in kindness and mercy.
Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule:
8:15 am & 7 pm
Ash Wednesday Service at 5 pm

In Preparation for Ash Wednesday, please drop off your blessed Palms from last year by Monday March 3, 2014 at the Parish office or the entrance of the church.  Mahalo.
