Ash Wdnesday 2014
MARCH 5, 2014
Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and occurs forty-six days before Easter.  It gets its name from the practice of
placing ashes on the foreheads of the faithful as a sign of repentance.

“Remember, you are dust and to dust you shall return.” ~Genesis 3:19~

We pray that our hearts be stirred to turn away from sin as we prepare to welcome the God who is slow to anger, rich in kindness and mercy.
Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule:
8:15 am & 7 pm
Ash Wednesday Service at 5 pm

In Preparation for Ash Wednesday, please drop off your blessed Palms from last year by Monday March 3, 2014 at the Parish office or the entrance of the church.  Mahalo.

This is a reminder about the upcoming HUNGER WALK sponsored by the HAWAII FOOD BANK.  held on Saturday, September 19th, 9 am.

Please mark your calendars and plan to walk with us, or at least join us in spirit by collecting some donations.   The Hunger Walk raises a credit balance for our pantry so we can "buy" food items at a very low cost, and also qualifies us for USDA items, which are free from the government food program.  After the first $200 donated for the walk, all other donations qualify for matching grants which increases our earnings. Questions, call the Parish Office at 689-8681.
We thank you for answering our plea to help restock our shelves!
September 5th & 6th,
Please bring your donations to Mass. Your generosity is definitely making a positive impact to our brothers and  sisters in our community!
Feel free to donate any other non-perishable items as well!
