On January 30, 2015 at 7 pm at the Co-Cathedral in downtown, Bishop Larry will ordain our very own Eric Kim into the order of Deacon along with other men from the various parishes in our Leeward Vicariate.  We are all excited and grateful to God for calling Eric Kim to be able to serve the Church as deacon.  The office of the deacon is very important and as any clergy position, are called to serve the people of God.  Therefore we invite all of you to join us on January 30 at 7 pm at the Co-Cathedral to be a witness as Eric is ordained a deacon.  Then on February 1, 2015 (Sunday) after the 5 pm mass Our Lady of Perpetual Church will have a celebration of thanksgiving and congratulations for Eric.  We ask our parishioners to be a part of this celebration.  If you would like to help out in food or any way possible for the February 1st celebration here at the School grounds, please call the parish office.  There will be sign-up sheets for potluck in the coming weekend.  Let us continue to pray for Eric and all those who will be ordained as deacons.

Ash Wdnesday 2014
MARCH 5, 2014

Ash Wednesday is the first day of Lent and occurs forty-six days before Easter.  It gets its name from the practice of
placing ashes on the foreheads of the faithful as a sign of repentance.

“Remember, you are dust and to dust you shall return.” ~Genesis 3:19~

We pray that our hearts be stirred to turn away from sin as we prepare to welcome the God who is slow to anger, rich in kindness and mercy.

Ash Wednesday Mass Schedule:
8:15 am & 7 pm
Ash Wednesday Service at 5 pm

In Preparation for Ash Wednesday, please drop off your blessed Palms from last year by Monday March 3, 2014 at the Parish office or the entrance of the church.  Mahalo.
