We, the ministers of hospitality are the first contact a parishioner would have with the Church as they come in the church building.
We greet parishioners at the door and help them find their seat. We welcome everyone with a smile (and most of the times, with a handshake.) Ours is a ministry of welcoming.
Requirements:
1. A pleasant smile and cheerful disposition
2. Practicing Catholic
3. Fully initiated Catholics or preparing for Confirmation
4. Attend initial training and as need arises
5. Show late comers to their seats during the breaks in the readings
6. Pass the collection baskets
7. Find two people who will bring the gifts to the priest
8. Lead people to communion line procession
9. Take Eucharistic Ministers or Priest to people who are in wheelchair
10. Distribute bulletins as people leave
11. Straighten up chairs, pick up rubbish or other things people might have left
12. Ushers at the last Mass puts away the rope/barrier, collection baskets, and blue tub for canned goods
