We prepare the altar for Mass.
What do we do?
1. Before Mass, we set up the sacred vessels with the unconsecrated hosts and wine.
2. During Mass, we respond to any special requests by the priest (get the lectionary or
sacramentary, turn certain lights on or off, get more purificators, etc.).
3. Before Mass, put the sacred vessels away after they have been purified and washed.
Requirements:
1. Fully initiated Catholic
2. Practicing Catholic
3. Live a life of faith in accordance with Catholic teachings
4. Initial training and/or as need arises
5. Familiarity with the rites of the liturgy
6. Attend meetings as needed
7. Serve per your schedule and to find a replacement if you can’t make it
8. Arrive at the church 15 minutes before Mass time
