Infant Baptism

…We come closer to God by following Jesus Christ through His Word and Sacraments …we provide a sense of belonging to all God’s people … (OLPH Parish Mission Statement)

We prepare parents and godparents for the reception of the Sacrament of Baptism.

What do we do?

1. Collect and process registration forms
2. Interview parents and godparents
3. Prepare and teach the class
4. Schedule Presentation and Baptism
5. Prepare baptismal certificates
6. Coordinate potluck for the third session
7. Guide all involved in the Liturgy of Baptism on the day of Baptism

To serve on the team, you must:

1. Have knowledge or familiarity with the Sacrament of Baptism and/or related Church
doctrine or teachings. Don’t worry if you don’t, because we will train you and you will
learn and grow as you serve.
2. Be available on Wednesday nights from 7:00 pm to 9:30 pm
3. If possible, help on the day of Baptism, which is the fourth Saturday of the month.
4. Undergo training
